Ennerdale Water
Ennerdale, Cumbria - England, UK
|
| Ennerdale Water is the most remote of Cumbria’s western lakes. It is therefore one of the least visited, and provides welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the Lake District’s busier tourist destinations. It is also one of the quietest and most placid stretches of water, away from any major roads. Walking around the lake is mostly on the flat, apart from Angler’s Crag, where the rock can be slippery when wet. A circuit walk can easily be accomplished in a morning or afternoon. |
